Merlin IV is a small colony on cold world. The planet-bound population are content to keep to themselves. There are no permanent heavy-lift facilities on the planet, only a fairly small number of passenger shuttles. The planet exports little of note, excpet the occasional immigirant, and a small amount of hand-carved exotic wood products, and attracts even less in the way of tourists. What exports the system makes are lightly refined metallics from the small asteriod mines. They generate enough foreign exchange to keep the planet's robofacs in operation, and the tech level only slightly behind the rest of sector.
