Nexa is pretty typical independent world of the catacombs. It has a single jumppoint, at its L5 point. Routes lead to the Junction attached catacombs, and to Binf. The jumppoint has a small station, which has docking and cargo handling facilities, but no substantial repair or fabrication ability. A station in Nexa orbit is capable of those, though its major production is devoted to containers; perhaps 25% of the containers in the sector were built here. The reason for the container surplus is that Nexa is the greenhouse of the region. A hot, wet world (Average surface temp 120F, 80% water coverage) a huge range of produce is grown, including much exotic tropical fare not typically grown in space habitats. The entire Junction-attached catacombs is within just 7 days at 2 Gs; Binf, with its 10 billion mouths, is only 12 hours. The systems in Binf-attached catacombs, with 10 billion people, are within 28 days by typical cargo ship. Mining in the outer asteroid belt feeds a sprawling factory zone centered around L4. The L4 factories produce still more containers, ship power plants, and assemble complete ships, with jump drives, imported from Binf. The 120 container R-class freighter is a favorite of the truck-garden lines, since it can make 2 G's, fully loaded, allowing Nexa's exotic produce to be delivered before it's even fully ripened.

Nexa has a small navy, of about 100 jump ships, and a larger number of localsystem ships. The jumpships spend most of their time on patrol, escorting trade ships.

The government of Nexa is unified at the system level. About half the systems population of 40 million live in domes on the surface, mostly on the N. polar contentint. Most of the rest live in the L4 habitat. 100K are in the outer asteroid belt, about 30K at the L5 jump station.
