Pik Ze V is the most recently settled system in the catacombs. Just 150 years old, it is still a pretty wild place. It is a warm world, with no polar ice caps, and about 80% oceanic coverage. The temperatures, and large open waters lead to a very large number of tropical storms, of very severe proportions.

Most colonization has taken place on the interior of only large landmass, located in the southern hemisphere. The native flora are not generally edible, though they do generate some compounds that bio-chemists find promising for a number of obscure purposes. The fauna, on the ohter hand, are quite poisonous. The largest animals are hexapeds, outwordly similiar to Earth reptiles, but warm-blooded. The largest reach a couple meters in length. As far as anyone can tell, every single visible animal is poisonous to humans, some fatally so, others just irritatingly.
