More GWB Bike Path Closures!

The Port Authority has announced to bicycling groups that the existing overnight bicycle and pedestrian ban will be extended a few more hours to accomodate bridge construction. The most up-to-date information we have from the PA is here.

The 5BBC would like to see the construction include repairs and improvements to the bridge path, but we do not think the Port Authority will listen to us without pressure from elected officials. We urge our members to write to New York Assembly Member Richard Brodsky brodskr@assembly.state.ny.us (who sits on a committee that has oversight of the Port Authority), and express your concerns.
