This was the first agency I signed up with after moving to the New
York area. They called me within 3 days offering me an indefinite temp
assignment, paying me roughly what I asked for, in the industry I
requested. Cliff Stuart is a stand up guy - seems like if you have the
skills and he has the work, you've got a job. I'm a casual person, and
they didn't hold it against me (all he said to me in regards to that
was "Would you mind putting on a tie for your first day?")
So the ad agency I work for isn't really my dream come true....but I work for a great bunch of people as an Administrative Assistant -- it's stable, but no long-term commitment required (every week they ask me - will you be returning?) so I can still keep looking for something even more in line with my goals, on the creative side of the business. I highly recommend Madison Avenue to anyone.
Don't let the shabby office fool you - I never expected to hear from them again after registering, but they really came through for me. There's only like four people up there, and they're all very pleasant and low maintenance. The receptionist is sweet. They always remember who you are too - I like that. I give them a 10 out of 10.
