I was interviewed by one lady asking what kind of assignment I was looking for (Temp or Perm) I said either, it really did'nt matter. Then she tries to lock me into accepting a Temp to Perm assignment saying I would have to be on Essex's payroll for 65 days, then you would go on the hiring Company's payroll after 65 days. After being tested, there was another interviewer reiterating the same thing that was previously said by the first interviewer. In the meantime the company would be paying Essex and they in turn would pay you what they want. Example if the company would pay you $35,000 per year. Essex would give you $10.00 or $11.00 per hour or if they paid $30,000 they would pay you $9.50 per hour. In these times that is nothing but exploitation. Then she paraded me in a room with about 12 people, each one sitting at a computer. Then some of them ask me a couple of questions e.g. what did you do at your last company. Then I was told to sit outside for a while one of those would be with me shortly. After waiting for a while, the interviewer came out and said she will call if something came up. A waste of my time. Originally I asked if they had jobs available, and the person with whom I spoke said yes. I even asked if I was paying for the job when they almost wanted to take half of your money for themselves. She answered no, but it seems that way. Its a rip off, they know people needs job and they are vulnerable.
