This page has been here since 1996. You would think that for someone
who has had a page since before the WWW explosion, that it would be fancier.
But, I have a life! I also had another page, hosted by another ISP on
Long Island. Long Island Information Inc., was a nice little provider. But
they have since been bought out by GGN.net. Once that was done, customer
service was completely horrible. You would not believe the hassles I had
to go through to cancel my service with them after moving to California. The
entity now known as Eureka/GGN is definitely not a company that I would
voluntarily do business with. Simply put, I moved to California in
November of 2000. My account was finally completely closed in May of 2001!
They turned off access to my account back in November when I had requested
my account be cancelled because of my move. However; in a classic case
of the right hand not knowing what the left was doing, they kept invoicing
me every month. A special shmuck of the year award goes to their account
manager (or whatever the heck he is), Dennis Weiss. Each month I would
receive my bill, each month I would call, get his voice mail, and leave
a message. HE NEVER RETURNED A SINGLE CALL!
On the other hand; even though I've moved 3k miles away, I still use
Panix! I have no rush to move some mail forwarding and email access.
