The Bay Anchovy is a pale tan with red and blue reflections above narrow silvery lateral line, pale below with a translucent abdomin. Average size attained is about 3 inches. Throughout the season various sizes will be encountered between 1 to 3 inches so match the size that is present. They move in large densely packed schools. Bay Anchovies can tolerate a wide temperature range.
