I spent a lot of time today talking to negative cutters. All the ones I spoke to were either busy for several weeks or more expensive than I'd expected. Despite my eagerness to get started, I need to gather more names before making a decision.

My friend Jessica Shaton, a graphic designer, offered to design titles for the film, and I met with her at lunchtime and discussed with her the few ideas I have on the subject. The film's beginning and ending are so stark that the titles have to be very simple to match the tone, and Jessica realizes that. The titles are one of several elements that could delay post-production if they aren't ready in time--I have to keep several balls in the air now.
