Claus Lulla, makeup artist on HONEYMOON and all-around good guy, told me today that he's going to do makeup this April on the next Hal Hartley film. It's a big career break for Claus, and I'm really excited for him, the moreso as Hartley is one of my idols. Claus got the job through Frank Stubblefield, Hartley's regular gaffer, whom he met on my film. So I guess I get to take partial credit. In addition to being the world's greatest gaffer, Frank is fantastically loyal to his friends - this isn't the first job he's wangled for a HONEYMOON alumnus.
