July 20, 1998

I met this evening with my friend Jessica, who designed the HONEYMOON titles and is going to do my promotional materials for the film market.  We need to come up with a graphic design for postcards and for a poster, and I got the idea, which Jessica likes, of using a map from an old star atlas as a background.  Not only would this give the film the classy, serious tone that I want to project, but it also ties to a scene in the film, and goes well with the old-fashioned font that we've already been using in the film titles and previous publicity.  Now I have to find an old Norton Star Atlas, which I haven't seen since the days of my amateur-astronomer youth.  Jessica will also create a flyer, stationery, and business cards, which should take care of my design needs for now.
