I spoke today to a city film lab that I'm thinking of using to make the HONEYMOON prints. The fellow there stated with certainty that our plan to mix the sound to a video tape, instead of to a film print, carries with it a very high chance of having an out-of-sync soundtrack. It would be a whole lot more money and trouble to do a mix to film--it's just not going to happen at this point. I can't really tell whether the fellow at the lab is right, or whether he's just phobic about new technology. People in the movie tech world may be in error, but they are never in doubt, as the Eric Sevareid saying goes.
