The guy at Magno called Tony at Lab-Link and confirmed that yes, the sound at the end of reel two is screwed up, probably because the printer's applicator ran low on fluid. If this is true, then it is a mere coincidence that the last two reels both had bad sound in exactly the same place. Tony seems unwilling to accept the coincidence theory, and wants me to talk to the Magno guy. Maybe he's tired of making free prints for me. The Magno guy also said that the optical track was completely clean; if he's right, then the fault is Lab-Link's, and I can hope for another print at no expense. But Tony has to be convinced first.
