When I got home tonight, there was a message from an acquisitions person at Orion Pictures, who wanted to talk about my movie. She had seen a brief description of the project in the Independent Feature Project's monthly newsletter. I certainly don't expect Orion to do anything with the film, but I'm sort of pleased at the idea that distribution people might actually come looking for me instead of vice versa. Maybe they're more desperate than I'd thought.
I spent my lunch hours today and yesterday running around trying to get one of our video daily tapes in working order. It's definitely going to be harder to meet the needs of this project now that I'm working.
