Robin and I started work on the wedding night scene, the film's set piece and by far its longest interlude. We ran into a lot of problems, mostly having to do with cuts not working because the actors' positions don't match from shot to shot. A lot of today's problems are due to carelessness on my part--I planned cuts around physical actions, and then allowed the actions to change or go away without changing my cutting plans. I hope we can work around these issues without doing much damage to the scene, which is basically cool.

I heard from two crew members today that our film lab, Guffanti, is closing down. This is a bit of a nuisance, as we will have to search for another lab to do our prints. And our negative is stored at Guffanti, which I hope is nothing to worry about....
