A Full Day = More Napping

A host of activities can be exhausting

This morning we went to a seminar held by "Lucy's Men"--featuring director William Ascher (husband of Elizabeth Montgomery) and editor Dann Cahn. Since "I Love Lucy" was filmed with three cameras, Cahn developed a three-headed Moviola editing machine, which was wheeled out on stage and is being donated to the Lucy-Desi Museum here in town.

Eric and I went to see some "Lucy Show" publicity stills at the public library. I hopped onto the Internet there and discovered on the Library version of Ancesty.com, giving me full access to the U.S. Censuso f 1930, showing, among other records, my father's family when he was 5 years old. I then took a nice nap while Eric went to the trivia contest. He won the contest last year.

That evening we went to the Masquerade Ball at the Hotel Jamestown, which is now a senior residence, but the ballrooms are used for private functions like this. Tonight it was a Masquerade Ball. Eric and I went as Lucy fans. His friend Diana went as the fat lady who sits on Lucy on the bustour episode. She sewed a squashed Lucy in a wig and polkadot dress on the back of her dress. She won second prize. First prize was the person dressed up as the two-headed dragon from the Scottish dream episode.

The food again was absolutely horrible. Considering how much money Lucy fans are doling out, they could at least try to serve some decent food.
