Driving to Kandy


The driving to Kandy is quite... non-Western

There is one main road from Colombo to Kandy and back, and it's two wide lanes. People pass like crazy here. Look at these videos for a feel of the Sri Lankan roads.

Sometimes you have a bus coming right at you and you're on YOUR own side of the road. It's pretty wacky driving. I understand New York City cab drivers so much better now.
