When two ducks started walking around in
our backyard eating bird seed Gwyn
offered them a dish of corn. It took awhile
but the female finally overcame her
suspicion and tried it. She ate so fast that
we were afraid she would choke. It was a
definite "where have you been all my life"
moment. Fortunately, once she realized
that we would bring out all the corn she
wanted whenever she wanted she slowed
down.
We brought the dish back in and an hour
or two later I looked out and they were
standing there looking at the ground where
the dish had been.
They had us trained in no time.
