New Milford First is a party composed of folks who truly care about New Milford and are making some courageous decisions about where the town should go. We are Republicans, Democrats and unaffiliated voters. Some of us have held office before and some have not. Some of us have lived here for decades and some are newcomers. In some cases, we hold divergent views on how best to manage New Milford. However, we all agree it can be done better.

It is important to have different viewpoints. The best ideas come out of people debating an issue from different perspectives and willing to compromise.

We believe the voters of this town have been served by a number of elected officials who are either self-serving or unengaged in town issues. It’s time New Milford voters had a choice between self-serving, rampant, unplanned development and people honestly interested in what is best for the town, not themselves — people who put New Milford first.
