So far, there's only one question here, but if you've looked at any of the code, it should be apparent that I like to make things as modular as possible as soon as possible. Don't think of this page as it is. Think of it is it could be. :-)

Most posting-rate filters have a very fine granularity, often measuring posts made in a matter of minutes. The granularity for the News Gizmo is actually 24-hours, so to us, an offline newsreader seems to exhibit the same behavior as an online one.
