Done.

I drove today. Finally. It was a simple drive, just a quick trip to Lewiston, where I visited a friend from work and her husband and a return. About 70 miles, including a stretch of twisty, narrow road that climbs out of the Snake River Canyon to the Palouse above. It wasn’t without trouble—the bonnet refused to stay closed in bumps and I once lost gauges. Both problems appear to be fixed; they didn’t re-occur after some adjustments at the half-way mark.

The car isn’t nearly as nimble as I remember, and I remember more power too. But the fun is still all there. I grinned for the entire 70 miles, each a joy.

I’m looking forward to where the road takes me next.
