Fallout Boy, Indeed.

Mood: Bit Tired.
Music: Walking In Space, Galt McDermott
Game: That Same Beta, Gears of War, Battlefield 2142, Crackdown, Various Arcade Games
Book: Nothing. Need to find something.
Watching: Not much.
Weather: Clear, cool.

OK, so one of the key benefits of my job is that, every now and again, the really cool folks on the Xbox team pull off a major coup, and get me a free copy of a game.

Yesterday, said free copy of the game isn't slated for release for at least another 2 weeks. So I'm sitting there playing a game that isn't even on the shelves yet...and I have people sending me messages: "How the HELL do you have that now?!" Naturally, I ignored all of them, and kept playing. I have my priorities straight.

In any case, I ended up playing until about 5am, so I guess the game is pretty good, right?

So I crawl into bed at 6am, and get to sleep. Hours later, I'm suddenly jarred out of my sleep by something. Dunno what. I ignore it, and close my eyes again. Again, I get jarred awake, and this time listen.

My fiancee is singing along with her iPod (at what sounds, to me, like the top of her lungs.) She's got her headphones on, and is cleaning the kitchen, and pretty much doing her Freddie Mercury impersonation.

I stagger out of bed, tap her on the shoulder (which unsurprisingly startles her, as she can't hear a bloody thing with her headphones on, at what I presume is a deafening level,) and say "New Fallout Boy album, right?"

She nods and grins sheepishly, embarrassed and all. I giggle and hug her and head off to my office to finish the Guide I've been working on.
