Campers' Group is a club that organizes camping, cabin, hiking and ski trips, mostly in NJ, NY, PA and CT, and within a three-hour drive of the NYC metro area. We welcome singles, couples and families, experienced campers and newbies, to camp and hike with us.
Camp in the largest county park in Westchester (4,700 acres). You can bicycle on the park's roads, hike the trails or ride a horse. There are 42 miles of hiking and multi-use trails throughout the park. The Trailside Museum has specimen animals, Native American artifacts and an exhibit about the Leatherman. A nearby garden contains over 100 varieties of wildflowers. Birdwatching is also a popular activity. If you want to visit for the day, you just have to pay the entrance fee to the park ($10/vehicle). We have reserved a large group shelter site with room for all tents and hammocks. Portable toilets on site, flush toilets but no showers down near the entrance and office. To join, RSVP here.
