Campers' Group is a club that organizes camping, cabin, hiking and ski trips, mostly in NJ, NY, PA and CT, and within a three-hour drive of the NYC metro area. We welcome singles, couples and families, experienced campers and newbies, to camp and hike with us.

You can also join us on meetup.com or like us on Facebook.

Here are some of our upcoming events:

September 4-7, Labor Day Weekend, Mohican Outdoor Center Group Site, Blairstown NJ
Join us camping on the Kittatinny Ridge! Located on a beautiful glacial lake in the 70,000-acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, AMC’s Mohican Outdoor Center is an ideal retreat for groups and families. Anyone interested in hiking, paddling, climbing and camping will enjoy this unique natural area. Stroll to nearby wetlands to spot the local wildlife, or hike the Appalachian Trail to magnificent views of the water gap.
The group campsite includes a campfire ring (no grate), large open sided roofed pavilion with several tables, outdoor privy and bear box. There are 5 tent platforms, 3 small ground sites, 1 large ground site, and hammocking locations. No tents with a footprint much larger than 8'x8', please. There are also indoor bathrooms in the visitor center/lodge, coin-operated showers, WiFi, and a small camp store with gear, clothing and food. Kayak and canoe rentals are available at the boathouse, and swimming is allowed in Catfish Pond.

September 9-13, Canoe/Kayak Camping Trip, Saranac Lake Islands, Saranac Lake NY
This trip is a 5 day/4 night, paddling & primitive camping adventure in the Saranac Lake region of the Adirondacks. We have reserved 2 group shelter sites on Lower and Middle Saranac Lakes. Most of us will head out on Wednesday to the first campsite on Lower Saranac Lake, but others can join us on Thursday or later if necessary (we should be able to message the late-comers), but it is recommended to paddle with us on Wednesday. We may set up camp on the second campsite we have reserved (on Middle Saranac Lake) sometime during the trip, depending on the site conditions and what fits the group best.
*There are options to rent a kayak or canoe. Please reach out to one of the hosts if you need to do so and we'll provide info.
Pack carefully! If kayaking in, pack very light, as if backpacking. If paddling a canoe, more equipment can be taken.
