We spoke to a few more DPs today, including Dave Park, an old friend of Alex's who seems able and willing to take over the film if John Nuler can't get here. Robin and I almost worked with Dave on a music video three years ago, and we had a very good impression of him. So we feel less vulnerable than we did yesterday.
I had my second rehearsal with the actors today, which went well. Both of the actors are expressing discomfort with some of the sexual content in the film. I'm very attached to some of the scenes that make them uncomfortable, so I hope I can hold my ground. I'm really not in a good bargaining position at this point.
