About:

I've been a programmer since long ago. Back in high school I learned how to program Macs and release my first shareware program. Currently I'm a masters student in computer science at Columbia University and programmer at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) working on EdGCM.

Programming Languages:

These are the languages that I program in on a regular basis. Scientists do all their programming in Fortran, even if the CS people have said the language is dead since before I was born. It's an ugly language, but extremely good for math. Recently I've become a big fan of RealBasic, which is both a nice environment to work in and a good cross-platform development tool.

These are a few of my favorite places in my neighborhood which straddles the top of the Upper West Side and Morningside Heights
