About:

I've been a programmer since long ago. Back in high school I learned how to program Macs and release my first shareware program. Currently I'm a masters student in computer science at Columbia University and programmer at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) working on EdGCM.

Programming Languages:

These are the languages that I program in on a regular basis. Scientists do all their programming in Fortran, even if the CS people have said the language is dead since before I was born. It's an ugly language, but extremely good for math. Recently I've become a big fan of RealBasic, which is both a nice environment to work in and a good cross-platform development tool.

Symposium, 113th between Broadway and Amsterdam, Greek food with a secret garden and strong sangria
Hungarian Pastry Shop, Amsterdam between 111th and 110th, Pastries, try the strudel
VT, Amsterdam between 111th and 110th, pizza and Italian food the way your parents grew up with it
Calcuta Cafe, Broadway between 105th and 104th, Indian food
Taqueria y Fonda, Amsterdam between 108th and 106th, looks like a hole in the wall, tastes like good Mexican
Mama Mexico, Broadway at 103rd, Mexican food with mariachis and a party atmosphere
Tom's Dinner, Broadway and 112th, cheap burgers and breakfasts
