Comments:
I had at one time worked for Metropolitan Temps on Madison and 42nd street. They were great at getting me work from the second I signed on, however when I learned that another temp from their agency in the department was making almost $10 per hour more than me for a less responsible job, the company I was in as a temp agreed to pay me her rate and would contact Metropolitan Temps about it. When I spoke with Metropolitan, they told me that they could only "afford to give me a $6 per hour raise" when I knew (because I was in the office when my supervisor at the temp job spoke with her HR department) that they agreed to pay me $10 per hour more--in other words, Metropolitan was planning to pocket the $4 per hour difference themselves.
