A related tangent: Devious traps for mice and rats are made and sold publicly. What's the rational reason for getting upset if someone were to feed kittens into these traps, and put them on public display? I can dream up a demented "work of art:" a glassed-in space with rat traps (neck-snapping and glue variety), baited with dog and cat food, filled with newborn kittens and puppies. Instant notoriety for some idiotic struggling artist! For extra pizazz, spread rumours of an NEA grant.
