Forwarded Domain Email will set up one or more forwarding addresses within a domain, and redirect mail they receive to real email accounts or mailboxes.

Because indiscriminate forwarding implicates our servers in the spread of spam and virus/worm mail, we require spam blocking and virus protection whenever mail from Panix is forwarded to another site.

Forwarded Domain Email is perfect for anyone who wants a common domain name for email addresses in their organization, but doesn't need the hassle of running a mailserver.

(If you're looking to set up a Web site in your domain too, our Corporate Web Service includes email forwarding as part of the base package.)

The Base Price Includes:

• Email forwarding (redirection) for unlimited addresses in your domain to a real Internet mailbox or group of mailboxes.
  (Mailboxes are extra. See the section Forwarded Domain Extras and Add-ons section, immediately below.)
• Automatic forwarding of the "postmaster" address at your domain to a real Internet mailbox.
• Primary & Secondary Domain Name Service (DNS): Panix will provide primary and secondary name service for your domain at no extra charge.

Forwarded Domain Extras and Add-ons:

• Mailboxes: $5/month ($50/year prepaid) per mailbox) or $20/month per batch of 10 mailboxes ($200/year prepaid)
  
• Each mailbox includes 1 GB RAID-protected disk space. Filtering to remove spam and viruses are among the included features.

Maintaining a dedicated network connection can be costly. Panix offers mailboxes as an add-on to all our dedicated and on-demand network services, for uninterrupted email delivery when your network is down or your mail servers offline.

You can run a mailing list on our server, right from your Panix address. If you have a Panix forwarded domain, you can use that domain for your list address.

Our lists run under Majordomo mailserver software. If you wish to maintain an archive, you will need a Panix shell account. (You can use any single-user account for this.) Otherwise it isn't necessary.
