Standard Features
All V-Colo packages come with these features:
- Your choice of OS
- Easy-to-use Web Control Panel for controlling your virtual hardware, modifying your account info, paying bills, etc.
- One IP address
- Disk storage on mirrored Fiber-Channel disk arrays, so:
- single-disk failures won't kill your server
- total server hardware failure can be recovered from in minutes, not hours
- performance is superior to the more common consumer-grade SATA disks
- Free nightly backup of your disk (details in this FAQ)
- DNS for up to 100 domains
- Reboot your server over the Internet using our console server
- Console access via ssh to our console server
- Guaranteed minimum CPU time - approximately 100MHz Pentium-equivalent per 100MB RAM (of course, you'll generally have much more than that available, depending on what others are doing)
- Plenty of expandability, with our Add-Ons
The plans below and our Dedicated Disk plans offer flexibility and economic pricing. If none of these suits, we can put together a Custom Package for you.
If you need help choosing a plan or deciding what features you need, please feel free to ask. And if you're a Panix Unix shell subscriber, try one of the panix local newsgroups.

Notes:
- With this plan, you can have a maximum of 3 IP addresses.
- You may choose a 10% subscription price discount or a 50% disk space bonus with your annual prepaid account.
- Rsync backups are free, and usually come pre-configured, but you can disable them if you choose. That's usually a bad idea, since we keep no other backups of your data, unless you pay for tape archiving.

- Some 32-bit OSes will not be able to use more than 4GB of RAM. You
may have to use a 64-bit OS to make use of all the RAM in your
V-Colo. The list of OSes with 64-bit support is here.
