My phone is bricked following an over-the-air upgrade, and so I’m running back and forth to the store to see if they can fix it.

Was it rooted?
Ummmmm….No comment……But it was the motherboard that got fried appparrently when I pulled the battery when it hung.
They are going to replace the phone, but right now, I've reeactivated my old Palm.
