Deep Thought

I was talking with Sharon* about her special education consulting and advocacy business today, and told her about some friends of mine who raise Morgan horses, who would front load purchases before a given year, and then end load purchases after the end of the year, so as to create a profit every 5 years or so, because otherwise the IRS would call it a hobby, and would not allow them to deduct expenses from other income.

Then I told her that this was completely different from her business.

Then I thought about it, and told her it was completely the same as her business: Both people have to shovel loads of horsesh$#, only hers comes from school administrators.

BTW, if you kid has unmet special education needs, you want to contact her, she’s a pit bull, Or maybe a Tazmanian Devil, for her clients…..

*Love of my life, light of the cosmos, she who must be obeyed, my wife.

Deep Thought*

Farrah Fawcett died today, when she got to heaven god told her she could have one final wish.

She said she wanted all of the children on the Earth to be safe.

Shortly after Michael Jackson died of a heart attack.

*Not my thought though, it’s been floating around the web.

Deep Thoughts

Every so often, I have a thought that is worthy of Jack Handy, and I’m sharing this with you:

I was at my chiropractor, and I noticed the various theraputic furniture that they have in the office.

With springs, hinges, dampers and suspension, powered lifts, straps and buckles, I thought You know, a pervert could have a lot of fun with this stuff.

And then I realized, Throw in some killer eggnog with whipped cream, and you could have a really kick ass office party.

In the midst of a post about real estate crashing and foreclosures, Rich Toscano mentions his, “Partner in dim sum consumption crime and occasional Econo-Almanac guest contributor Ramsey Su.”

My first thought was OH MY GOD!!!!! What restaurant, I have to know. Real estate is ephemeral, but the love of a Jew for Chinese food, that’s forever.

The weird thing is, Toscano is in San Diego, and I’ve never been there, and I have no urge to go there…well maybe…if there is some really good Chinese food.
