While one might quibble about some of these choices, anything that replaces Jar Jar is a good thing™
Such as Who Would Be Cast in The Coen Brothers’ Star Wars?
Note that in one case, there is no change.

You know, if I didn’t share this with you, I’d be most negligent in my duties.
What can I say? It’s a big f%$#ing joke,
Sometimes, once in a while, this is actually a good thing, and today is one of those days, becuase for the past 2 days, it’s been Classical Gas going through my head.
Women are Angels…
And when someone breaks
our wings….
we simply continue to fly…
on a broomstick…We are flexible…

Too true…..
It appears that the Republicans have successfully prevailed upon Jim Bunning (R-KY) to end his filibuster, so the emergency unemployment extension will proceed.
Additionally, the Republicans are suggesting that the distinguished gentleman from Kentucky is suffering from overwork, so they are suggesting:
That is all.
The protest sign is properly spelled, so Canadian education does not produce “morans“.
OK, the Canucks win in the bigger scheme of things.
It would be nice not living in a country with the politics and attitudes of a 3rd world nation.
But we have … We have … We have … We have … We won that damn hockey game.
This explains the world:
As a kid you see the world as being divided into grown ups and kids . . . and grown ups are all smart and they know everything and they run the world, and kids are just kids. Then you grow up and realize grown ups are just a bunch of f%$#ing idiots, they’re just tall.

TRIP TO COSTCO
Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit, the Wonder Dog and was in the checkout line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.
What did she think I had an elephant?
So since I’m retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn’t have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again.
I added that I probably shouldn’t, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I’d lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.)
Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me.
I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter’s ass and a car hit us both.
I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.
Costco won’t let me shop there anymore.
Better watch what you ask retired people. They have all the time in the world to think of crazy things to say.
Forward this (especially) to all your retired friends……it will be their Laugh for the day
Why is it that washer fluid reservoirs in your car always hold something like 2-3 quarts, which means that when you refill it with a new bottle, you have a more than half empty bottle to bang around in your trunk?
These things are blow molded, and can easily be made in to irregular shapes, so that they could hold, for example, 5 qt, and then you could toss the bottle after you filled the tank.
It’s kind of like hot dogs coming in packages of 10, and hot dog buns coming in packages of 8.
Hillary Clinton has just announced that it’s now official US policy for countries to allow their internet access to be free and uncensored:
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton unveiled on Thursday a new U.S. policy that encourages the world’s governments to ensure their citizens have open access to the Internet.
The speech comes a little more than a week after Google’s blunt declaration about Chinese censorship and illegal electronic intrusions, and the company’s assertion that it will pull out of China if it can’t reach a reasonable understanding with the Beijing government.
9:54 a.m. EST Clinton took the stage here at the Newseum, a museum dedicated to the news industry, and appealed to the audience to think of the communications networks that have been destroyed in last week’s massive earthquake in Haiti. She also noted how a mother and daughter in Haiti enabled their rescue by sending a text message. Clinton called communication networks a “new nervous system” for the world.
“In many respects, information has never been so free,” Clinton said. She referred to the way that virtually anyone can broadcast information to the Internet at any time. But governments can also use Internet and communications technologies to repress their people, she said, “just as steel can be used to build hospitals or machine guns.”
My first thought was, “Good for her,” and by extension, Barack Obama.
My one, and the the one that falls into the “Deep Thought” category, is that picture really looks like that “1984” ad that an Obamanite put out during the primaries.
After reading a bunch of threads about Obama federalizing the National Guard (it’s somehow connected to the FEMA camps), giving Interpol absolute and unquestionable power on American soils, and the fact that Obama’s name is really “Steve,” I have discovered what people do when they’re too old to masturbate.
And I have made a vow to exercise and eat my vegetables so that it never happens to me.

Well, that explains my liberalism, and my strong right hand.

To paraphrase Nietzsche, expecting children to queue up politely for sweets, like the bite of a dog into a stone, is a stupidity.
We were at Hanukkah party for the kids in the Beth Israel religious school…Cookies, doughnut holes, home made Hanukkah gelt, etc.
And people were surprised when the kids did not queue up at the table in an orderly manner.
