I love Alan Grayson.*
*In a 110% purely heterosexual kind of way, of course, as the General would say.

National treasure Jon Stewart wants to know:
Damn, he is good!
Dick Armey created an Army of Dicks.*
Jon Stewart does a good job teasing out the hypocrisy of the Congressman, former House Majority Leader, and über lobbyist Dick Armey casting himself as an anti-establishment foe of Washington .
Jon Stewart, Part 1 of 3
Jon Stewart, Part 2 of 3

*The Teabaggers.
Texas’s (where else) own Louie Gohmert.
Play him off, Jon Stewart:
Seriously, the fact that Jon Stewart has so much material to work with makes me despair for the future of the Republic.
This sh%$ is not rocket science, and the idea that the press is not to call bullsh%$ over transparent bullsh%$ is not a mark of professionalism, it is a mark of cowardice, hypocrisy, and laziness.
In any case, on to the vid.
*Yes, my Geek Goddess, Rachel Maddow, is a close second.
I have not posted Jon Stewart’s take on the Lower Manhattan Islamic center:
And Wyatt Cenac’s expose:
I have to add Mr. Cenac to my list of People I Do Not Want to Piss Off.
So says the Stewart.
So say we all:
I think that Colbert might have been a bit harsher, but jeebus, it’s like watching baby seals being clubbed, which, interestingly enough is something done by Canadians. (You’ll get the reference when you see the vid)
Yep, he goes after all the repeal the 14th Dredd Scott dead-enders.
Stephen Colbert, playing along with Laura Ingram’s literary conceit that her book, The Obama Diaries, is real, absolutely destroyes her and her book.
When he says, “I’ve read a fair amount of this book, and I know he’s not supposed to be a dumb guy, he’s a great orator, but this writing is terrible,” he’s telling Laura that she cannot write for sh%$, for example.
Ouch.
Jon Stewart asks a question, “What is the appropriate response for a company that is selling its customers a sh%$ty deals, being caught on email calling them sh%$ty deals, and then being forced to pay a $550 million fine?”
Well if you are Goldman Sachs, the response is to ban profanity in employee email.
<Facepalm>
The Oregon division of the teabaggers, AKA the “Oregon Tea Party,” decided to steal the slogan of Anonymous on 4chan.
Anonymous is/are a group of people who took on the Church of Scientology, and pretty much won.
Anonyous took action: There was a flood of pr0n links and the like on the Oregon Teabaggers’ Facebook page, which has now been taken down, though not before the Teabaggers posted a sycophantic apology (see pic).
Heh.
Stuff like this is why 4chan is firmly on my list of People I Do Not Want to Piss Off.
This guy:
It’s a pretty good heckle, but the comeback is pure gold.
If you heckle a halfway decent comic, you will lose badly.
I know, not because I heckle comics, but because I get targeted for abuse because of my distinctive high pitched hyena laugh.
My official 40 Years in the Desert list of People I Do Not Want to Piss Off, that is.
I really can’t do justice to his latest blog post, “Lara Logan, You Suck,” In response to her pandering to her sources by publicly stating that the job of a reporter is to kiss senior officer’s butts, so just go and read it.
He takes on the wankers who whine leave Britney George W. alone.
This time, he’s angry at the press, Fox, or rather the idiotic Gretchen Carlson, in particular, but the press as a whole, over their coverage of the McChrystal affair.
He notices that everyone in the MSM is stunned and amazed that Rolling Stone reporter Michael Hastings was willing to piss off someone by doing his job, and thus not have him as a source again.
You see, a lot of bad reporting is driven by the fact that reporters have their tongues so far up well connected sources asses that they can taste tonsil, and it makes the mainstream media resemble a protection racket.
H/t the inner walls, aka my hairy barbarian elder brother, who dryly observes, “What a concept, doing the job comes first, careerism later.”
Jon Stewart takes the Beckster to task using MSNBC, CNN, and Univision* to demolish Beck’s claim that no one else showed the blockade conflict video in showing the Free Gaza protestors used clubs.
Brutal.
*I think that the use of Children’s Television Workshop might be a trick.
Here he notes that the big banks made their obscene profits, which justified their obscene bonuses, made their profits by taking their TARP money by lending it back to the government.
They borrowed at an interest rate lower than that of US treasurys, and then bought treasuries, and pocketed the difference.
Why do I have to listen to a comedian to get real financial news.
I love me that Jon Stewart, particularly his comment that, “Our government is the worst loan shark in history,” but I am really pissed off that he is the only one out in cable teevee land who is explaining this in the mass media.
Jon Stewart nails the Harriet Miers/Elana Kagan comparison, and the whole Republican party, likening them to sleazy New Jersey used car dealers.
Release the Kagan, heh.

It’s game over, dude.
In this case, it’s John McCain, who is suggesting that mirandizing the alleged Times Square bomber is somehow evil and wrong, and Glenn Beck, yes, Glen Beck, who is suggesting that we need not shred the Constitution, and give American citizens their constitutional due.
So John McCain is being called a demagogue, by the tag team by Jon Stewart and Glenn Beck.
Lasers!Jumping C. Megalodon*
*The largest shark, and likely largest predator fish ever. It died out some 1.5 million years ago. The Genus is still in dispute, between either Carcharodon (Great White) or Carcharocles (broad toothed Mako). But in either case, you are jumping C. Megalodon, you have jumped the biggest shark ever.
