This time, it’s the chairman of the Wisconsin Republican party,, who has been accused of enticement and fondling of a 16 year old boy.
It seems that GOP stands for Grand Old Perverts.

There is a story about Larry Craig attempting further appeals. It’s unremarkable, except for we may now know why the Republicans are not going after him too hard, he is one seriously mean SOB.
“I was very proud of my association with Mitt Romney,” Craig told Lauer. “… And he not only threw me under his campaign bus, he backed up and ran over me again.”
I know it’s not nice to get joy from someone else’s misfortune, but Senator Craig’s circumstances have me riveted the way that some cheap celebrity antics do for the mainstream press.
It appears that Gary Aldridge graduated from Liberty University and later worked for the late Jerry Falwell.
From the Coroner’s Report:
EVIDENCE OF INJURY
The decedent is clothed in a diving wet suit, a face mask which has a single vent for breathing, a rubberized head mask having an opening for the mouth and eyes, a second rubberized suit with suspenders, rubberized male underwear, hands and feet have diving gloves and slippers. There are numerous straps and cords restraining the decedent. There is a leather belt about the midriff. There is a series of ligatures extending from the hands to the feet. The hands are bound behind the back. The feet are tied to the hands. There are nylon ligatures holding these in place with leather straps about the wrists and ankles. There are plastic cords also tied about the hands and feet with a single plastic cord extending up to the head and surrounding the lower neck. There is a dildo in the anus covered with a condom.

Fowl Foul play is not suspected.
Let’s see, first, we have Senator “Wide Stance” being inducted into the Idaho hall of fame, and then we have the male prostitute who outed Ted Haggard says that he met Larry Craig, and finally, Bob “The Traitor” Novak says that the Senate republicans knew about his behavior:
I have talked to several of my sources in the Senate, and this came as a surprise to me…They knew about it. They knew that he had this problem, and it was in the closet. And it was not just a homosexual relationship. It was this weird conduct. They didn’t do anything about it.
The judge has denied Craig’s request to withdraw his guilty plea, and Craig si
now saying that he’s staying in the senate until the end of his term.
The Republicans are threatening an ethics committee investigation against him, but I think that it’s going nowhere, as we would have to see David “Diaper” Vitter, and Mitch “Handjob in the Shower” McConnell testifying.
I am amused.
As you are no doubt aware, Senator Larry Craig has not resigned on September 30 as he said he would, so they are threating public ethics hearings on his behavior.
My guess is that Craig is putting Senator David Vitter on his witness list.
Pass the popcorn.
Good takedown by Ms. Hill in the New York Times. Go read it.
Of note is how much Justice Thomas still seems to be seething at every imagined slight. He may be the craziest mofo on the court, which is saying a lot.
Well, it appears that both the Palestinian Authority and Hamas are are mired in accusing each other of adultery and homosexuality.
I have no doubt that some of these accusations are true. Heck, it’s likely that most of them are. In any large organization, you will find gay people.
Of course, the DVD mentioned makes it more amusing.
As to the Schadenfreude, it’s the sanctimony. Somehow, convincing a retarded kid to wear a bomb belt is moral, but sleeping with another man isn’t.
Excluding marital infidelity, this is not really about morality, it’s about religious hypocrisy, and the fact that the PA and Hamas are putting on their own little home grown versions of Tartuffe.
I find this amusing for the same reason that I found Jim Bakker’s peccadillos amusing.
H/t Jewlicious for the catch.
Almost missed noting it.
Of course, he’s still in the senate, in all his foot tapping glory (hole).
Schadenfreude.
Criag is saying that he’s going to stay in office, at least for a while.
That sound you hear is Jon Stewart’s, Jay Leno’s, and David Letterman’s writers cheering.
It should come as no surprise that the ACLU is supporting Senator Craig’s attempt to withdraw his guilty plea.
Additionally, there is a good point made by the ACLU:
Anthony Romero, the ACLU’s executive director, argued that police sting operations sometimes trap innocent people. He said police must show that sex was to occur in public, not just that someone was soliciting sex.
“If the police really want to stop people from having sex in public bathrooms, they should put up a sign banning sex in the restroom and send in a uniformed officer to patrol periodically,” Romero said.
Let’s be clear if crude come ons were a crime, the cops would be arresting 20% of the people in your average singles hangout bar.
I don’t generally venture too deeply into sexuality. It’s not that I’m a prude, but except on an academic level (I can give you schpiel on how neoteny influences human sexuality), I’m not particularly interested in the sexual motivations of people that I don’t know.
Suzie Bright, however, has a very good insight into the head of the Republican political wife, when she asks the question, “How does Suzanne Craig, wife of the outed senator, stand next to her liar of a husband at a press conference and not hurl her guts?“
It is a complex matter, but I think that Ms. Bright’s essay shines a lot of light on it.
a New Orleans prostitute will provide details of her 4 month relationship with senator David Vitter.
Once again, Larry Flynt is going to be holding the presser.
Wonder if the diaper rumors are true.
It appears that Larry Craig is not definitively out1 as Idaho’s US Senator.
It appears, according to a voice mail left at the wrong number, that his intent to resign is just that, intent, and not a promise.
He’s hired a high priced lawyer, and he will be fighting to overturn his guilty plea for disorderly conduct.
While my initial reaction is, “pass the popcorn”, this can actually be rather significant.
Seeing as how this will going on at the same time that the Pentagon’s “war room” is ramping up it’s likely to suck2 all the oxygen out of the media room, and so this media offensive is likely to get little notice, and hence little traction.
The voice mail mentions that he has support of Arlen Spector, which rather surprizes me, as the distinguished gentleman from Pennsylvania always bent over backwards3 to support the Republican agenda when push comes to shove4.
It’s possible that Spector had a polite statement of support that was misinterpreted, or possibly he’s trying to queer the deal in order to extract some sort of payback against the Republican Senate leadership by queering5 their efforts on the Iraq war, but I am unaware of any specific bad blood between him and Mitch McConnell.
It will be interesting seeing if the Republicans actually demand an ethics investigation to get to the bottom6 of this.
1Pun not intended.
2Really, I mean it, pun not intended.
3Oh, for Pets’s sake!!!! Pun not intended.
4Oh…I just give up, I’m punning.
5Well, that was liberating.
6OK, I admit it. I have a problem. My name is Matthew Saroff, and I am a punster.
I mean that he’s leaving the senate, not the other sense.
I’m sure that the gag writers for Leno and Letterman are in mourning.
Here we have the story of a head on collision with a happy….relatively death free ending.
Collision involved naked couple
Investigators think that alcohol was a factor in a head-on collision in Comal County on July 18 in which two victims were pulled from their car naked.
“The only thing they had on was the radio . . . and their seat belts,” Department of Public Safety Cpl. Rick Alvarez said.
On the evening of July 18, Lisa Marie Bishop, 25, of Austin was driving north on FM 1102 north of New Braunfels when she went around a curve and swerved into the southbound lane, crashing head-on to a truck driven by Juan Montoya, 49, of New Braunfels, Alvarez said.
Montoya was not injured. Bishop sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, but her passenger, 26-year-old Robert Rydeen of Austin, was airlifted to San Antonio and was in stable condition Monday, officials said.
Bishop told investigators that she and Rydeen had been at Schlitterbahn Waterpark and had removed their wet clothes for the drive home, Alvarez said. Investigators found some wet clothes in the car as well as evidence of alcohol consumption.
Alvarez said that in his 13 1/2 years as a DPS trooper, he had never before investigated a crash involving nude drivers.
“But she’s from Austin,” he said, “and I figure Austin folks are a little different.”
You think?????
According to the Buckeye State Blog, “sources close to the Flynt Hooker investigation tell me that they’ve zeroed in on one epublican, from Ohio’s House Delegation, whose contacts appear repeatedly throughout the DC Madam’s listings.“
My guess is that this person paid with collectible coins.
If he, or she, did, beers on me.
It appears that there is a bit of a problem in Devon, three councilors have left the party because another member does stripograms and phone sex as a livelihood.
They have left the party, and are now sitting as independents because, “We believe that our integrity and principles will be compromised if we stay.”
At the party level, it is reasonable to try to get rid of her because you believe that she will not win re-election or is a drag to the party, but if you are willing to leave the party over this, you are not serious about the party, and most likely, the party just isn’t that serious either.
It appears now that a Navy Academy officer reportedly worked as an escort for Deborah Jean Palfrey.
Also, one of the numbers on the list is “that of an editor for the Army Times Publishing Co.”, according to the Baltimore Sun.
Sometimes you just want to pop up some popcorn, and watch what happens.
As to prostitution in general, I favor it being legal ane regulated, which would deal with most of the health issues, and rid the world of the lowest form of life on Earth, the pimp.
